Start Your Application

To start your application process, simply click the link below and fill out a brief profile. This will establish your SpeakWrite ID and Password. Please be sure to make note of these numbers for future reference. Once you have completed this you may proceed through the application process:

Typing Test, Work History and Confidentiality Agreement:

  • Complete the Typing Test: The first step of the application process is an online Typing Test. The test is three minutes long, and requires you to retype the text displayed on screen. Your WPM and accuracy scores will display at the end of the test. (You may take this test more than once if you do not achieve the required speed.)
  • Complete the Work History form: The Work History form is the equivalent of a Resume, allowing you to submit information to us about your past experience and qualifications. Please be sure to provide details of relevant transcription experience.
  • Confidentiality Agreement: You will need to read our Confidentiality Agreements and follow the instructions to sign the Agreements online.

Training and Testing:

Once you have completed these three steps and the results have been approved, you will begin the online Training and Testing which includes:

  • Online Help: Read our Online Help manual which details all SpeakWrite Processes and Policies.
  • Web-based Training:Complete a brief Web-Based Training which walks you through the use of our software.
  • Evaluation Quiz: Complete a brief evaluation quiz to test the information you learned in the previous steps.
  • Testing jobs: Complete a series of training jobs to test your working knowledge of our system.
